JAY SCHILLINGER Presents

“It’s the message…communicating in today’s new world”

Jay Schillinger grew up in Schofield, WI and attended University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, Jay worked as a stockbroker/Financial Planner for IDS in Minneapolis for a few minutes before realizing he wanted to move to Los Angeles and work in the entertainment industry.

Jay’s first job was at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California; working in marketing for Buena Vista Pictures Distribution (BVPD); where, amongst other things, he wrote synopsis’ for their feature films (Toy Story, etc.) Worked there for 6-years (1990 – 1996); before leaving to produce his first full length feature film “The Marksmen,” a film Jay wrote and produced. Film starred Steve Kanaly (Dallas), Martin Kove (The Karate Kid) and Martha Byrne (As the World Turns), winning the Best Picture award at the Hermosa Beach Film Festival and several other awards.

Jay worked in the Independent film world until 2001, when he went back to Disney (Buena Vista International) working out of offices in Burbank, London and Hong Kong.

Eventually, the call of home brought Jay and his wife back to the Midwest; convinced that great production could occur anywhere. Jay worked for Pulse Communications for 5-years before purchasing all the assets of Pulse from Johnson Bank and changing the name to NorthCoast Productions.
