MIND...BODY...SPIRIT - THE EWGA WAY
Saturday, January 14

Enjoy an afternoon of meditation, stretches and energy work with your EWGA friends.
Here is your chance to get refreshed and reenergized from the holiday pace. We will learn the fundamental movement patterns including posture, alignment and breathing.

Tai Chi has been called "the perfect exercise…" by Time Magazine. This exercise form has been proven to reduce stress and blood pressure while improving strength, balance and endurance. Tai Chi also improves mood and teaches awareness of the body.

The afternoon will be lead by Betty Driessen, who has studied with certified Masters level instructors specializing in this exercise form. She herself is certified in level three Tai Chi Yang and teaches classes throughout Northeastern Wisconsin.

Enjoy healthy refreshments and chair massages following the exercises.

Where: Valley Martial Arts Studio, 1190 N Mayflower Dr, Appleton
(Corner of Hwy 96 and Mayflower Drive in the Artistic and Wellness Center near Springz Family Entertainment Center )

What: Wear loose comfortable clothing. Barefeet, socks, slipper or light shoes preferred. Since the movements are slow, graceful and relaxed you won't break a sweat or need to change clothing even though it is a moderate aerobic exercise. All fitness levels are welcome.

Cost: $15.00 members / $20.00 non-members

STRIKING HOLIDAY CELEBRATION FOR OUR CHAPTER
Saturday, December 10th

The Super Bowl in Appleton was graced by the presence of EWGA Fox Cities/Green Bay members showing their athletic prowess at the Holiday Bowling party last weekend. Our ladies proved that golf is definitely the sport of choice.

Lori Sargent amazed onlookers with a three game total of 464 pins, winning the best bowler award. Karla McChesney won most improved bowler to match her most improved golfer status from league this summer. Our own Kristin Ujazdowski was in a league of her own winning most drama on the alley with her entertaining dance after good and bad shots alike. As you can tell, not much serious bowling was going on. Instead there were lots of laughs and storytelling.

Bowlers enjoyed pizza, drinks, and prizes after the event. Many thanks to Diane Dushenski and Karen Alesch for providing the chocolate treats that were enjoyed by all.

Cross Country Ski and Snowshoeing
Saturday, February 11 - 1:00pm - 3:00pm, Green Bay
Cost: $10.00 members / $12.00 non-members
Enjoy the beautifully groomed trails at Brown County's premiere public cross country ski trail. Bring your skis or snow shoes for the day of outdoor adventure. Everyone needs to bring 1 quart of their favorite chili. The batches are then combined into one chili "dump" sensation.
Bunko Party...Mardi Gras Style
Tuesday, February 28 - 5:30pm - 8:30pm, Little Chute
Cost: $20.00 members / $25.00 non-members
Join in the fun by wearing a New Orleans style costume and win prizes. We will be playing bunko…a favorite card craze. It is easy to learn so even if you have never played before come and join in the fun. It will be a great time to network and socialize with other EWGA members and their guests. A wide of assortment of appetizers and two drink tickets are included in the registration price.

TDS PLAYERS CHOICE - INDOOR GOLF RANGE
Are you looking for a way to keep up your golf game this winter? TDS Players Choice has an indoor golf range that is being made available to EWGA members on select Saturday mornings from 7am to 10am starting now and going into the spring. Take advantage of this simply by visiting TDS Players Choice at W3035 County Road JJ. You can use your own set of golf clubs and get unlimited balls. Simply identify yourself as an EWGA member and hit unlimited golf balls for $7.50 for the first half hour, $3.75 every 15 minutes thereafter. This can be a great way for you to keep up your driving as well as a good excuse to get together with gals from your past league, so we hope to see you out there!
