We had a great turnout for our July 8 outing to Irish Waters Golf Course. 18 members and guests played nine holes in the beautiful sunshine and then met for lunch in the clubhouse. Congratulations to our hole prize winners, Barb, Sharon, and Teresa!

Nominations and Elections
It's YOUR turn to get involved…just say "YES"!

That's the word Leadership Chair, Carolyn Grady and her committee members will be wanting to hear from you as they lead our chapter through the nominations and elections process to fill the upcoming expiring terms for some of our Chapter Officers (President, Vice President and Secretary) and seek volunteers who are interested in being appointed to one of our Chapter Committees. All terms will start November 1st.

Officer Nominations/Elections
Be on the look out for separate email communications directly from Carolyn regarding this process. Here is the timetable we will be following (entire process conducted via email only):

July 12th - Distribution of Officer Nominations Form to all active EWGA members
July 28th - Deadline for members to return Nominations Form
August 21st - Ballot/Slate of Officer Candidates sent to all active EWGA members
September 7th - Deadline for members to return Ballots
September 10th - Results of election announced to members
October 12th - Annual Membership Meeting - Volunteer Recognition/Officer Installation
October 21st - Transitional Board Meeting
November 1st - Officers terms begin

Committee Volunteers
Due to rotating term limits, our Chapter has "open" Chair positions for the following committees: Membership, Golf Education & Player Development, Leadership, Social Events and Leagues. Volunteers are needed to fill these positions as well as in supporting roles. Most committees need 3-5 volunteers so there is plenty for everyone to be involved…all YOU need to do is say, "YES"!

Here is the following timetable we will be following for committee appointments:

July 31st - Distribution of Committee Interest Form to members via email
September 11th - Board approval of Committee Chairs
October 12th - Annual Membership Meeting - Volunteer Recognition/Officer Installation
October 21st - Transitional Board Meeting
November 1st - Officer terms start

Membership Renewals
All members up for renewal in September will be receiving their notices from EWGA Headquarters this week. By renewing, you will continue your membership with the Fox Cities Chapter until September of 2007, allowing you to continue to participate in all of the leagues, clinics, and social activities our chapter has to offer! You may renew by returning the notice with your check or credit card information or by going online, logging in with your member id and password, and renewing there. This will also be your opportunity to update your membership level so take advantage of this and show your support for your chapter by bumping up your level. Any questions? Member Get a Member Program

Introducing a Member Get a Member program just for the members of the Fox

Valley/Green Bay Chapter! Every member that refers a new member to EWGA between Monday, July 17th and Friday, Sept 15th will be entered in a drawing for a free membership at the Premier level! Simply tell the new member to put your name in the 'Member Get a Member' section of her application and you will be entered into our chapter drawing as well as the national Member Get a Member campaign for your chance to golf with legend Patty Sheehan. Entering couldn't be easier and we look forward to introducing your referrals to the game of golf and our EWGA chapter!

Golf Education Clinics
For those of you who wanted to take part in one or more of the clinics that have been offered this season (Getting Started, Breaking 100, How Low Can You Go, and Skills Challenge), but for whatever reason were unable to do so, file it away in your "To Do" list for next year. The participants have had a lot of fun and learned valuable tips and skills from these instructional sessions, which should in turn result in lower golf scores! Keep up the practicing!
